Today, we drove to Playa Herradura. Although the first stretch of road was a bit bumpy, the rest of the drive was smooth and sunlit, like a highway straight out of a postcard. Two hours of driving felt like stepping into an entirely new world. 😀
For lunch, we picked Lanterna Ristorante by the Herradura Marina with a fantastic view. I ordered a salmon tartar, expecting something fresh and delicate, but it turned out to be marinated—not quite what I had hoped for. The pizza we ordered wasn’t to our taste either. Overall, the food was average, but with the sunshine and the sea as our companions, the flavors didn’t really matter anymore.
After lunch, we strolled along the nearby beach. The sand itself was fairly ordinary, but the stunning scenery more than made up for it. Many people were playing and taking photos on the shore, and we took a few pictures ourselves to remember the moment.
Turning around, we spotted several monkeys playing in the trees—a lively and delightful surprise.
Our hotel felt like a tropical paradise. Nestled by the seaside, it was surrounded by swaying palm trees and a crystal-clear pool, creating a truly serene atmosphere.
We visited the swim-up bar, sipped on cocktails, and chatted with the bartender. The quietness of the setting, paired with the soft glow of the setting sun, was simply enchanting. Later, we wandered down to the beach to capture the sunset. In the distance, a woman sat peacefully under a palm tree, engrossed in her book. Her tranquil figure added a poetic touch to the already serene and beautiful sunset.
