This five-day journey through Seattle moved seamlessly from the snow-covered landscapes of Mount Rainier National Park to a city shaped by innovation and culture. We explored the scale of modern industry at the Boeing Everett Factory and reflected on technology’s past and future during a visit to Microsoft headquarters . Along the way, Seattle revealed itself through landmarks like the monorail and Space Needle, the energy of Pike Place Market, the creativity of Fremont, and a thoughtful afternoon at the Seattle Art Museum. Framed by nature, art, and everyday life—and anchored by memorable meals of Dungeness crab—Seattle felt less like a checklist of sights and more like a conversation between wilderness, innovation, and humanity.
Seattle Travel Highlights Day 1: Mount Rainier
A day spent at Mount Rainier National Park. Along the way, we tasted authentic Rainier cherries for the first time—sweet and memorable. The park was busier than expected, Reflection Lake was still frozen, and hiking trails at Paradise were buried under snow. Fortunately, the snowmelt-fed waterfalls were roaring and spectacular, making the visit well worth it.
Seattle Travel Highlights Day 2: Boeing Everett Factory
Leaving the mountains behind, we drove into Seattle, stopping along the way to admire a tranquil morning lake. After a satisfying Cantonese lunch in Chinatown, we visited the Boeing Everett Factory and watched Boeing 777 aircraft being assembled up close. In the evening, we explored Pike Place Market and enjoyed fresh Dungeness and Alaska Bairdi crab by the waterfront.
Seattle Travel Highlights Day 3: Chihuly Garden and Glass
We began the day walking to the Amazon Spheres. After a quick monorail ride, we visited Seattle’s iconic Space Needle and explored the vibrant glass art at Chihuly Garden and Glass. The afternoon was spent at Pike Place Market, including the original Starbucks and a bowl of clam chowder. The day ended with a visit to Uwajimaya and a quiet stroll through Seattle’s Chinatown.
Seattle Travel Highlights Day 4: Microsoft & Fremont Exploration
In the morning, we visited Microsoft’s headquarters, had a hands-on look at the newly released Copilot+ computers. In the afternoon, we explored Fremont, one of Seattle’s most distinctive neighborhoods, known for its humor, creativity, and free spirit street art. The day ended by the waterfront with local craft beer and a delicious dinner featuring fresh Dungeness crab.
Seattle Travel Highlights Day 5: Seattle Art Museum
We visited the Seattle Art Museum in the morning and happened to arrive on a free-admission day. What started as a brief visit turned into an entire afternoon in the gallery. We ended the day with one last Dungeness crab dinner at Crab Pot, a fitting farewell to Seattle.
